Good Day Child of God,
Today’s Devotion and Reflection is based on the Scripture: Judges 12:1-6 (NIV)
“The Ephraimite forces were called out, and they crossed over to Zaphon. They said to Jephthah, ‘Why did you go to fight the Ammonites without calling us to go with you? We’re going to burn down your house over your head.’ Jephthah answered, ‘I and my people were engaged in a great struggle with the Ammonites, and although I called, you didn’t save me out of their hands.'”
Moral Story:
Jephthah’s response to the Ephraimites demonstrates the qualities of a good leader—communication, understanding, and diplomacy. His answer shows that leadership requires effective communication and conflict resolution, as well as the willingness to work together for a common goal.
Short Prayer:
Dear Lord, help us to be good leaders who communicate well and seek understanding. May we be willing to work together for common goals and resolve conflicts with wisdom and grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
