Good Day Child of God,
Today’s Devotion and Reflection is based on the Scripture: Judges 9:7-15 (NIV)
“When Jotham was told about this, he climbed up on the top of Mount Gerizim and shouted to them, ‘Listen to me, citizens of Shechem, so that God may listen to you. One day the trees went out to anoint a king for themselves. They said to the olive tree, “Be our king.” But the olive tree answered, “Should I give up my oil, by which both gods and humans are honoured, to hold sway over the trees?”'”
Moral Story:
Jotham’s parable highlights the importance of humility in leadership. The olive tree’s refusal to abandon its valuable purpose for the sake of ruling teaches us the significance of putting others first. This story reminds us that true leadership requires humility and serving others.
